This evolved into a morning commuter working in the 1970s between Morecambe & Manchester Victoria after Heysham Harbour station closed due to the 'troubles' in Northern Ireland.
Heysham was the destination of the 'Belfast Boat Express' from Manchester Victoria, the last steam hauled 'titled' train on BR in the North West.
